Ex Bristol Rovers’ star puts Yeates top of the league

Former Bristol Rovers’ star Stuart Campbell has chosen Yeates to help him with his global relocation to America.

The Campbell’s moved to their new home in Florida earlier this month where Stuart will take up a new job playing for Tampa.

After spending more than seven years in Bristol Stuart and his family were keen to use a local business but they needed the reassurance of a reputable and professional company.

The former Rovers’ captain and caretaker manager said: “Moving abroad is quite a stressful thing to do as there is a lot to think about and organise so we needed to have confidence in our removal firm. We spoke to several companies but Yeates was recommended to us and we liked the fact that they were a local business. Our minds were put at rest as soon as we got in touch thanks to Yeates’ professional and clear approach that made everything seem very straightforward. Everyone was friendly and helpful and we were confident from the start that they would do a good job.”

Yeates celebrated 100 years in business in 2010 and is the oldest family run removal and storage firm in the Bristol area.

Yeates’ Sales Manager, Adam Hack said: “We were delighted to help Stuart Campbell and his family move to their new home across the Atlantic, not least because I am a big Bristol Rovers’ fan! We work regionally, nationally and internationally and pride ourselves on our years of experience and industry knowledge.”

Talking about his American move, Mr Campbell added: “As a family we are really excited about the challenge of living in another country and doing something new. My wife and I have three daughters and we hope that America will be a really good experience for them. On a professional level I am eager to see how football operates in Florida and if the standard of play and culture of the game differs from England. I have harboured ambitions of playing abroad for many years so having the opportunity to do it now is great.”

He added: “We will miss Bristol and all our friends very much but we are also looking forward to our new life in America. We can’t thank the team at Yeates enough, everything has gone extremely smoothly and it has taken away a great deal of the stress.”

Yeates was established in 1910 – when the firm used horses and carts to carry out general haulage in Clevedon and the surrounding areas. The company has always been family run and is currently headed up by James Griffin who took over as Managing Director from his father John in 2000.
