Yeates Removals and Self Storage, is one of these businesses and we have been serving the North Somerset community for over a century. So, as well as being family-run, we are one of the oldest companies in the area too.
Established in 1910, our family-run business has grown from humble beginnings into a trusted provider of removal and storage solutions across North Somerset and Bristol.
Although we were initially based in Clevedon, in recent years we’ve expanded our services with the opening of a second site – a state-of-the-art self storage facility in Weston-super-Mare.
A Century of Service: Our Family Legacy
Our story began at the beginning of the century, offering general haulage services using horses and carts in Clevedon and the surrounding areas. Over the decades, we’ve adapted to changing times and technologies while staying true to our family values. Today, James Griffin, the fourth generation of our family, manages the company, ensuring that we continue to provide quality service with a strong customer focus.
James said, “Being a local family firm is one of our strengths. We have moved many people several times and we benefit from a lot of word-of-mouth recommendations. The business has changed enormously during the time I have been involved – as have many firms due to the pace of technological and other advances. But amongst that we try very hard to retain our local, family-run ethos where every customer feels valued and gets great service.”
